I've lived and worked in Deeping for several years, moving here after graduation to join a local engineering company. I take a real interest in local issues and working to ensure The Deepings remains a great place to live for everyone.

As a Town Councillor, I find that many of the issues I deal with, such as improving footpaths and seeking to reduce the impact of new housing developments on already strained roads, are the responsibility of the County Council.

I will also continue my efforts to push for greater transparency in local government. I would like to see all council meetings webcast. This is particularly important here given the 100-mile round trip required to attend meetings held in Lincoln.

With the County Council hit by huge cuts by the Government, we need Councillors unafraid of pointing out the real threat to our public services caused by the Conservatives. Labour are divided and can't provide the strong representation our area needs.

That is why I am asking for support to build a strong Liberal Democrat team working to improve the lives of local people.
